Useful for cataplasms and face masks

Thanks to its multiple properties, Cattier Green Clay has beneficial effects both on the skin and on the body.

Cattier Green Clay can be used for face masks and poultices, due to its beneficial effect on the skin and body. Absorbent, purifying and regenerating, Cattier green clay is particularly suitable for the treatment of oily skin. Absorbs and regulates excess sebum, eliminates toxins and impurities, revitalizes the skin and promotes cell renewal. It also has antiseptic and emollient properties. With its high content of micronutrients, it provides the skin and body with mineral salts and trace elements. Cattier Green Clay also has healing and remineralizing effects, relieves joint and muscle pain, burns, soothes sore throats (when combined with lavender essential oil), abscesses, scars and skin irritations. For these healing properties it is also possible to use it as a poultice.

For a facial mask: Apply the clay paste in a thick layer on the face and neck, avoiding the areas of the eyes and lips. Leave on for about 10 minutes without the mask to dry on the skin. Rinse with warm water and dry the skin with a cotton towel. Complete the treatment by applying a moisturizer.

As a poultice: Put the clay paste on a piece of natural fiber and, using a non-metallic spatula, spread it to a thickness of 2-3 centimeters. Lay the clay mixture in direct contact with the skin and wrap it with a bandage. If the poultice is to be applied to an irritated area, place some thin gauze between the clay and the skin. Leave for at least an hour. Remove the gauze, remove the clay and excess, wetting if necessary, then rinse with warm water and dry with a cotton towel.
